Reading Buddies Write Biographies

Ms. Kezar's 3rd graders are writing the biography of their 1st grade reading buddies. Ms. Kezar's class meets with Mrs. Dascoulias's class every Tuesday morning in the library to team up with a buddy to read to. The 3rd graders began a project this week in which they brainstormed a list of interview questions to ask their reading buddies about themselves in order to compile the answers into a biography about their 1st grade reading partner. The 3rd graders asked the younger students things like "where were you born?", "what is your favorite color?", and "do you have any brothers or sisters?" The 3rd graders began planning the order and layout of their biographies and next will create a book to share with their reading buddy. The 1st graders will be able to illustrate the biographies written about them.
